Transition Year Bonding Trips
TY students had a busy week of bonding activities recently where they cycled the Waterford Greenway and visited Ballyhass for a day of land and water based team activities.
The first stop was the Waterford Greenway where they took in some amazing scenery. They cycled a 23KM section from Dungarvan to Kilmacthomas Workhouse, highlights along the way included the viaducts at Kilmacthomas and Durrow, the 418-foot long tunnel at Ballyvoyle, and the spectacular panorama from high above Ballyclamper Beach. The students had a fantastic day and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather!!
Next up was the visit to Ballyhass where the students started the day in the Aquapark where they took on a Wipeout style obstacle course in the water, including slides, climbing walls, balance logs, trampolines, and a giant catapult. From there the students were split into teams where they faced challenges and had to work together as a team. Many faced fears of heights with the leap of faith, zipwires and abseiling but all students had a thoroughly enjoyable day!!
